Just finished reading this book, and I actually can’t describe how amazing it is. The last time I have actually read a book properly with my full interest involved was years ago, and I made a promise with myself that I’d get back into reading this summer. I’m so glad I have. I’d seriously recommend reading this book to my followers. Even if you’re not into reading fiction novels the amount of emotions a person feels when reading this book will make it all so much more realistic. Now I’m downloading the movie version of this and I hope it levels up the book standard. I’m also planning to order ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’, wrote by the same author of this book. Such an amazing novel and I cried far too much at some bits of it.

I’m reading ‘A Thousand Splendid Suns’ right now, and can I just tell you that it’s amazing? At first I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it - sometimes I get a little surface with my books and prefer witty, light hearted novels with deeper problems as you go. This book, however, was upfront from the beginning. The way Hosseini writes is beautiful, even if it didn’t grab my attention until a good 20-some chapters in. Looking back on the beginning, it was set up the best way possible. He shows you the little details of the characters lives - stuff that you normally skim over, - to help build them into people you know almost too well. Then when tragedy strikes, you can’t help but wince, cringe, or even cry. I can’t wait to finish this book, and I recommend it to everyone to read.
