I’ve been thinking about my prom dress a lot.

God help me, because this process is just going to be awful. It’s just that I have an vision in my head of how I want to look that I would love to make a reality. Sadly, I can’t draw. Maybe one of my lovely followers can help me?

I’m thinking very Grecian. Light blue and white - more white than blue, - with delicate gold accents. Strapless, sweetheart neckline. Here’s the trick - the top has to be very supportive, so maybe it has to have a mock-empire/drop waist combination style. I want the material to be light, flowy. Like I said, I want a very Grecian look which, (to me, anyway,) is feminine, delicate, and beautiful. Goddess-like. My problem is certain fabrics and cuts just don’t support my … body type. That’s why I was thinking the weird cut of the dress. I don’t know the exact name for it, but it would be ribbed to about mid-rib cage (hence my combination of empire and drop waist. Unless I’m mixing up all sorts of terminology, in which case I apologize to all of my fashion-forward followers.)

Anywho. For my hair, I plan on using a picture of Lauren Conrad that I found (girl has never led me astray when it comes to hair, bless her beautiful soul,) where she has it pulled back in delicate curls, pulled off of her face. I plan on finding golden head band / hair clips that look like leaves and vines. My make up will be light, the focus being either my eyes or my lips. Probably my eyes. My shoes … maybe I can find some funky gladiator-stilleto combination. Wouldn’t that be fun?

Now I’m off to scour the internet for such accessories and possibly a dress.

I might even get this custom made, if Mama lets me. She knows my issues with dresses, and it wouldn’t be that much more expensive than buying a new dress on top of alterations, seeing as I always have to get a good two feet chopped off of my dresses.

OOH WHICH REMINDS ME. I grew. I am now 5’1.75”.

Bam. Achievement for a little girl like me.
